Gone Baby Gone?

sarah palin winkIs this it for Sarah Palin? One can only hope but given Palin is an intellectual nightmare and foe to complete sentences everywhere, she may not be smart enough to realize it.

Is Palin so jad (Hindi slang for dense/stupid) that she cannot grasp the inevitable: SHE WILL NEVER WIN. Sarah, unscramble your brain long enough to see the two looming obstacles you can never hurdle.

1.) People don’t like it when someone burst on to the scene, swinging and talking mad shit, and then turn out to be stupid and

2.) The first woman president will be Hillary Clinton, Hillary supporters will have it no other way, so unless you plan to go the Tanya Harding route, it ain’t gonna happen.

The other day I watched a few of the auditions for America’s Got Talent and there was this “magician” who came on  like he was the best thing since Houdini. His demise began when he tauted assertively , “I’ve been in this business for 20 years!” followed by the question, how old are you? to which he replied, “25 years old”. The crowd burst into laughter and he stood onstage genuinely puzzled and unaware that he had just had an, “I can see Russia from my house” moment. After all that bragging,  his train-wreck of an audition consisted of a stale old card trick and few more equally unimpressive tricks all performed to the early 90’s classic, Baby Don’t Hurt Me. The crowd went crazy begging for him to be buzzed off  but that’s what was so Palin-esq, he NEVER GOT IT UNTIL THE BITTER END, the whole time they were booing and making the sign of an X with their arms, he thought they were cheering in support. Classic Palin. Makes you long for the old Apollo or Gong Show days when there was no mistaking when we wanted you to get off the stage. You were either dragged off with a big white hook or gonged to the point of deafness, either way, you knew it was time to go.

I have had enough of the dumb and dumber routine with Bush and while, I don’t think Palin’s one to watch; she’s no more qualified than Bush and her lack of intelligence coupled with her incapability to string together a coherent sentence seems to crawl under the skin of people on both sides of the isle, I don’t think we can’t write her off so soon either. Palin loves the limelight and it doesn’t look like she is planning on returning to the bowels of obscurity anytime soon.

Keep in mind, if the Republican Party can get behind  the crass, tacky, insensitive, and bullying tactics of Rush Limbaugh’s rhetoric, they can get behind her. After-all, they don’t need much, most republicans, just give them something that sounds like it might be right, throw in a few strategically timed lies (one of Palin’s few proven capabilities), add a pretty exterior, shake & serve and they will drink the kool-aid, no questions asked.  Let us not forget that mainstream republicans, historically, are not into things like, The Truth or (gasp!) Actual Facts, so, as much as we’d like to, we can’t count Palin completely out.

Ah, but I just need it to end (exhaustive sigh) and John McCain should never be forgiven for sicking that woman on America,  the stupid bastard. If he so much as runs for PTA, I will be on him like white on rice. What a fool.

As for Palin, you have my word, if she runs for President, I will blog until my fingers fall off to take her down and barring that, I will run for President my damn self because if she’s qualified, I’M qualified!

And for the love of God, can someone please tell her that every time she says, “not politics as usual”, she’s quoting President Obama, for whom she can’t seem to find any good.
