I suggest Britney Spears PR agent or better yet, talk to Drew Barrymore’s people (and perhaps John Travolta’s) because these are the only two sustainably successful examples of lasting media comebacks I have ever seen.
Whatever you do, just know you NEED to fire your current representatives IMMEDIATELY. Now, I don’t really know what that would look like but if it includes brimstone and the like, do YOU, handle your bidness God, because these crazy muther-fucks are giving you a baaaaad name, I mean, REAL BAD.
I often wonder if Jesus were walking the earth, right now today –how many of these Nut Case Christians would be sued for slander? And then I think but wait, there are plenty of other Christians out here –ya’ll just gonna let them represent your Lord like that? Real Christians, where you at?
If ya’ll wondering what got me on this tangent, it’s this article I came across today and couldn’t believe the boldness of these Freak Christians exercising their first amendment rights to spew hate in the name of God. Where is an epic flood when you need it?
These fools are straight crazy and I’m just wondering why Real Christians haven’t taken a stand against the way your faith is gettin’ all twisted up in the game?

ALL of the “Good Books” teach damn near the same dang thing, all of them. And Jesus’ overall message was one of Love. Where is the Love? I’m not seeing the Love…
So, Jesus, and I say this with mad respect and love –YOU NEED HELP! I’d say you need, Jesus but you can understand my hesitation. You need a public relations facelift; new, accurate representation, and you need it fast because the world is a hot mess and your message is getting lost, for real. If Ronald Reagan could do it, (albeit it was after he died) so can you!
Am I a card-carrying Christian? Sure. And I’m a Catholic, a Jew, A Buddhist, a Hindu, a Muslim, and so on. My card is bigger than any ONE religion. I like to think of it as the spiritual American Express Centurion BLACK card with it’s cart-blanch access to all things possible.
My card is the covenant I keep with God, not what he said or she said but what I know to be true, what I have experienced, and what I know that I don’t know. I refuse to limit what I know the Power Of God to be, what I have personally witnessed (and I have been fortunate to have been shown God’s hand on may an occasion) by placing my faith into someone else’s narrow mind and shrinking ideology.
And if I were a card-carrying Christian I would be outraged to action. Ya’ll are mighty in number, there is no reason to sit back and let these nuts have at your religion like that. Whatsoever.
In this particular case, you could call for their arrest and a cease and desist because they are a bonafide hate group and there are laws against hate in this country. At the very least, you all should be contacting the IRS to investigate because it is also illegal for Churches to make any political statements of any kind –they are in violation of the 501c3 code and their status should be revoked.
Get on it, Real Christians, stand up for your faith, mobilize! Stop letting your religion get hijacked by lunatics.
For the record, I believe in God. I believe in Jesus, I believe in a higher power, I believe in miracles, I believe in the divine. I also believe in respecting other faiths, traditions, lifestyle choices and people’s right NOT to believe in God.
If Elizabeth Edwards is in hell because she believed in respecting people’s choices and decisions to live their lives as they see fit –then she is in good company and if wherever she is, the idio-moron’s of the Westboro white, right-wing extremist, terrorist organization congregation are not, then she is definitely in a better place.
But let’s face it, heaven and hell is what you make it and they BOTH exist, right here and right now.
Hilarious! One of the issues you are responding to Sanaa is the idea of ‘Real Christians’ and ‘True Christians’. What you are talking about are people who conform to the ideals and teachings of Jesus Christ without getting entrapped in the rhetoric of idealogues and greedy men. There is a lot of confusion out there for any of the Judeo-Christian believers who hold the interpreters of the Word before the deeds of their God. Jesus doesn’t need PR. Those who hold him as prophet, rabbi, or savior need to reflect on what he was teaching as opposed to what a Pope, a Grand Rebbi, or an Ayatollah believe to be true.
