News from DC!
Oh what joy for brainiac nerd-docious revelers of the world! Superman may finally, finally — FINALLY! — get the 21st-century zeitgeist kind of treatment he “deserves.” And, yes, DC should lean toward the comics, maybe with less aliens. If to match a little bit to Nolan’s alternate reality.
Yes, there should be a different writer (hello, I’ve been waiting), director (J.J. Abrams had a good draft & now he’s too busy) and star — Brandon Routh was BOOORIING.
And, yes, get a va-voom woman up in there… Couldn’t you afford Christina Hendricks (not on VF’s cover BTW)? Or a down-to-earth sistah like Taraji P. Henson or, or, or Gabrielle Union (shwwing!)?! Can we get beyond a stick-figured Lois Lane as some hooty-tooty reporter, and get her on a CNN show? C’mon!
Oh yeah, and there’s another Nolan Batman on the way too. Take it seriously please: Flashforward’s headman left (or got pushed off) his own show to jump back on this project. We of the nerd-docious flock have mission in 2012: to knock Avatar off its perch.
Happy Happy! Joy Joy!
The Playlist, a wickedly comprehensive blog, already got thoughts on DC Comics’ DC Entertainment empty pipeline — and who Nolan could shepherd in as Superman’s new director… someone like him maybe?
