Oscar Noms: Nothing to see here folks. Move along

Yeah, Julianne Moore, one of our consummate American actress (& I love me a redhead), got snubbed. So did the writers of 500 Days of Summer: boohoo. Are we really crying about Star Trek? I mean we “got” Avatar… and District 9! AMPAS could only have so many blockbusters in the reinstated 10-slots.

But truly the only surprise, for me, from this year nominations was this: I still haven’t seen a nominated foreign film entry? WTH?! And British films don’t count right?

Geez, and the Academy got this category right this year. Wait… I’m in NYC, where is The Prophet playing?
